Speed, Control or Glass: Picking a Mousepad
Your mousepad shapes how your aim feels as much as your mouse does. Pick the surface first, then the size.
Speed
A smooth cloth weave with low friction. The mouse starts easily and glides far — good for tracking-heavy games and players who like effortless movement.
Control
A textured weave adds stopping power, so the mouse halts where your hand does. Good for tactical shooters and precise flick-and-hold aim.
Glass
A hard, very low-friction surface. Unlike cloth, it doesn't change feel with humidity or break-in, so it stays consistent — and it wipes clean in seconds.
Size and sensitivity
Low sensitivity means bigger arm movements — go L or an XL desk mat so a full swipe never runs off the edge. Higher-sensitivity players aim from the wrist and can get away with an M. Typical dimensions are in the size guide.
